Oh No, I'm a Soccer Mom!

When did that happen?!? I didn't think I was old enough for that. Or that my kids were old enough to play organized sports. But, somehow, soccer mom status snuck up on me. Today, I had to go to Sports Authority to get Will another pair of shin guards because the last pair I got him were too small. I guess we'll save those for Kaity. So, it's begun. Sports equipment, sports drinks, Saturday mornings on the field, hauling camp chairs around constantly, etc. The only thing I'm missing is a mini van. Might have to wait a little bit for that one. For now, I'll be the only soccer mom with a 4-door truck. So, I guess I haven't totally graduated to the soccer mom status yet.

Disobedience

I had a little problem with Will tonight. When we got home, I told him that he could have a few jellybeans, but no chocolate bunny. The chocolate bunny was for after dinner. I know he heard me because he then repeated it to Kaity. A few minutes later a look up when I hear the familiar crinkle of candy wrappers. Will has opened has bunny and is eating it! I made him put it away and sent it to his room. Instead of getting upset and crying like he normally does, he got quite an attitude. He sat in front of his door and wouldn't let me in. An hour and a half later, he was still sitting there. Finally, daddy got him to start helping clean up his room and he was ready to be a "good boy" again. I expect this kind of behavior from Kaity, but not from him. It was interesting to see him so mad.

April and Sawyer

Will got his new bunnies (although don't tell Kaity that - one of them she's claimed. She just can't decide which). He named them April and Sawyer. April is pretty calm and has been well handled. She's a little overweight, but not bad, and very soft. Sawyer hasn't been handled as much. He's on the small side. He seems sweet but he freaked out this morning when we went to check on them. I think he's just scared. Will is excited. And, the 4-H projects begin!
