We survived the fair. Will did great at it. He ended up with 12 or so ribbons. It was kind of like the Olympic medal count with him. Kaity even got a couple for some on-site stuff. We've got our fair debrief meeting this morning and livestock record book judging and then we're done till next year.
This was Will's prize for being a Cloverbud poultry exhibitor. He had been eating blue candy. But, doesn't he look nice in his fair official dress?
Hanging out with Papa during the award ceremony.
And Rachel and Scot.
Menu planning went great and really helped with our groceries and our evenings. Now that it's nice outside we all want to spend more time outside rather than coming in to make dinner. We're still working on finishing up some of the recipes from March that we didn't use, but I shopped for. So, here's the beginning of April:
1 (Thursday) - pork chops
2 (Friday) - A1 Steak in the crockpot
3 (Saturday) - going to Erin's house, probably have Little Ceasers pizza when we get back
4 (Sunday) - Easter! pot roast
5 (Monday) - Spring break! We're going to Silver Springs with Rachel. Fried Orange Shrimp
6 (Tuesday) - I have to work. Papa's keeping the kids. Cuban pork roast
7 (Wednesday) - working, not sure what to do with kids/dinner yet. probably hot dogs.
8 (Thursday) - headed to Tampa, Busch Gardens, and Grandma and Grandpa's house!
9 (Friday) - Tampa, beach
10 (Saturday) - head back home
So, we're set for the first 10 days of April and don't have to do much grocery shopping! We will be eating out much more than usual since it's spring break. But, that only happens once a year, so it's special.
